Which Institutions are Leading the Rankings in the Emerging Europe and Central Asia Region?

The QS World University Rankings: Emerging Europe and Central Asia (EECA) 2021 are now live! Read on to discover the top ten institutions.  

Lomonosov Moscow State University has retained its top spot in the QS World University Rankings: Emerging Europe and Central Asia (EECA).  

The Russian institution received a perfect score of 100 for academic reputation, employer reputation, and faculty to student ratio.  

The University of Tartu in Estonia rose two spots to take second place in this year’s rankings, while Saint Petersburg State University moved from second place to third place.  

Charles University, the oldest and largest university in the Czech Republic, rose one spot in the rankings, now sitting in fourth place.  

Novosibirsk State University rounds out the top five, falling from third place in last year’s rankings.  

Jagiellonian University in Poland retained its position at sixth spot, and the University of Warsaw retained its seventh spot.  

Masaryk University in the Czech Republic moved from tenth position to eighth position.  

Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology State University also saw an improvement, moving from eleventh to ninth position.  

Tomsk State University in Russia fell from eighth spot to tenth, rounding out the top ten institutions.
